LAYTON — Police responded Tuesday morning to a report of a bank robbery in Layton.

Around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, a white man with a red beard wearing a gray hoodie entered a KeyBank branch at 999 N. Hill Field Road, brandished a silver handgun and demanded money from the teller, Layton Police Lt. Travis Lyman said Tuesday.

The teller complied and gave the man money. No injuries occurred during the robbery, Lyman said.

The man jumped in the passenger seat of an “older” black Honda Civic with black wheels and a temporary license plate. Lyman said there were at least two people in the vehicle when it fled the bank and headed south on Interstate 15.
