The FBI said Thursday it wants the public’s help to find a serial bank robber who held up two banks in Salt Lake County and mugged a Clearfield credit union customer.
The first robbery occurred on Aug. 30 at an America First Credit Union branch in Salt Lake City. An FBI news release said the man handed a teller a note and left on foot.
Next, on Sept. 9, the suspected robber followed a customer out of a Clearfield credit union, pistol-whipped him and robbed him of money he had just withdrawn.
On Sept. 27, the same robber hit a Chase Bank branch in Salt Lake City, handing a teller a note, pointing a gun at the employee and running away on foot.
The robber is described as a Black male, about 6 feet tall with a thin build. He wore a black beanie, black clothing and carried a red, white and black backpack.
