OGDEN — One person is dead while another is in critical condition following a shooting Sunday morning.

According to a post on the Ogden Police Department’s Facebook page, officers were called to the 700 block of 30th Street at 10:46 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired involving two vehicles. A deceased man was reportedly found in the area of the initial report. A second man drove himself to a local hospital and was reported to be in critical condition, the statement said.

As of early Sunday afternoon, the area of the shooting remained closed and an investigation, conducted by OPD’s Major Crimes Bureau, was underway, the department said in its post.

No identification has yet been given on either of the men. Police did not say whether one or both men are believed to have fired shots or whether anyone else is suspected of being involved.
