Man arrested following stabbing in Weber County on Monday
One person was arrested following a nonfatal stabbing Monday evening in Weber County.
According to a press release from the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were summoned to a residence in the 3300 block of South Midland Drive regarding an unknown problem around 5:56 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, deputies found a 29-year-old woman with stab wounds. Medical attention was administered immediately and the victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
Witnesses stated that the assailant was the victim’s husband, the sheriff’s office stated.
A 28-year-old male suspect was located shortly afterward, reportedly with self-inflicted stab wounds. Medical attention was given and the man was apprehended and taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
The investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said. No further information was made immediately available about the identities of those injured in the incident or their current conditions.
