Emergency lightsOGDEN — One person was displaced following a fire Monday morning.
According to a press release from the Ogden City Fire Department, fire crews were summoned to a residential fire around midnight on Monday.
“Ogden Fire Department crews responded to a single-wide mobile home fire in the 300 block of Childs Ave.,” the release said. “Fire was showing from the roof on arrival. Firefighters executed a rapid interior attack and primary search, confirming no other occupants or animals were inside. The fire was contained and fully extinguished within an hour.”
According to the release, the sole occupant planned to stay with a neighbor and was receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
The structure sustained significant damage — estimated at around $100,000 — and is likely a total loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
In addition to the Ogden City Fire Department, the Northview Fire District also assisted in fighting the blaze.
