One dead, one arrested in Ogden shooting

One person is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in Ogden early Saturday morning.
According to a release from the Ogden Police Department, there were reports of shots being fired near the 3500 block of Jackson Avenue around 3 a.m. on Saturday. When the police arrived, they found a juvenile victim who was pronounced dead on the scene.
A juvenile from Syracuse was later arrested and booked on charges, including murder.
The police say they believe there are currently no known threats to the public.

“On Saturday, October 10th, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 3500 block of Jackson Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile victim who was pronounced deceased on scene.
“Investigators responded to investigate the incident. A juvenile suspect out of Syracuse City was taken into custody in connection with this case. This suspect was subsequently booked
on charges to include murder. Currently, there are no known threats to the community.
“The investigation is active and ongoing. Due to the ages of the parties involved, names and identifications are not being released at this time.
“No further details are being released at this time.
