It keeps getting harder to make a living
I’m a 58-year-old male trying to make a living. I’ve lived in Utah since 1957.?Things back then were good when I was growing up. What happened? ?Here it is the early 21st century and things have come apart. I work to make ends meet, but I can’t even do that. ?I make too much money to get help from the state. I make $100 more than the law allows in qualifying for help. I took a job because my unemployment was running out. Now I’m not even making $25 more working than unemployment insurance pays. ? I’m trying to make a house payment, insurance on the cars, pay lights, gas, water, etc. I’m single, so that is also why it’s so hard. I’ve tried to get my late wife’s Social Security, but I was told that I’m not old enough. ?What type of help can I get? I’m told I don’t qualify for anything, not even a home refinance loan because I’m a payment behind. ?I can’t even get the equity out of my home because of my deliquency. ?The only help I see is for the rich to get richer. The poor will get poorer. People say things happen for a reason, so what’s the reason? ?
