“It’s being reviewed under the personal conduct policy,” Goodell said Wednesday at the owners’ meetings in Atlanta. “We’ll do that and when there’s something to be reported we’ll talk.”

York was arrested in a mobile home park by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force after police said he was attempting to pay $160 for sex with a woman he believed to be a prostitute.

York was booked into jail and was released after posting a $5,000 bond. York was initially charged with engaging in prostitution, but prosecutors amended that to disorderly conduct. He pleaded no contest to that charge and to possessing criminal tools for using his phone to respond to the an undercover online prostitution advertisement.

He was sentenced to one day in jail for both offenses to be served concurrently and was credited with one day served when he pleaded no contest. He also was fined $1,150. Police seized the $160 from York and that was later given to the human trafficking task force as part of the plea. York also completed an online course.

White Sox rookie homers in 5th straight game

CHICAGO (AP) — Tristan Peters homered in a fifth straight game for the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night, tying a franchise record.

Peters and Munetaka Murakami are also the only rookies in club history to hit home runs in five consecutive games in the same season.

Peters connected on a two-run drive in the fifth inning that put the White Sox ahead of the Texas Rangers 6-2. The 26-year-old Canadian now has 12 homers on the season.

Timberwolves sign Kuminga to frontcourt

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves agreed to terms with forward Jonathan Kuminga on a two-year, $12.4 million contract on Wednesday, according to a person with knowledge of the deal.

Kuminga will fill an obvious need in the frontcourt for the Timberwolves, who traded Julius Randle and Naz Reid as part of their offseason acquisition of point guard LaMelo Ball.

Kuminga, who will turn 24 on Oct. 6, averaged a career-best 16.1 points during the 2023-24 season for the Golden State Warriors, who drafted the Congo native but never found the right fit for him before ultimately trading him to the Atlanta Hawks in February.

Brewers starter May hit, leaves game after 1 pitch

NEW YORK (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Dustin May left his start against the New York Mets with a bruised right scapula after throwing one pitch Wednesday night.

May was hit in the upper back by A.J. Ewing’s 106 mph line drive leading off the bottom of the first inning. The ball ricocheted off May as he whirled in an attempt to get out of the way. It caromed on one hop right to third baseman David Hamilton, who threw out the speedy Mets rookie at first.

May grimaced as he bent forward, favoring the area around his right shoulder blade and armpit.

“In the moment, didn’t feel great,” he said. “Took my breath away. Was just trying to get my breath back.”

After a long consultation, May threw several warmup pitches, raising his arm and shaking his right hand between tosses. Manager Pat Murphy then motioned to the dugout and May followed him off the mound.

“They were more on the cautious side of, better to be safe now and protect you for later,” May said.

May still hopes to make his next scheduled start.
