A worker helps to install a new sign on Ogden Union Station's roof on Thursday, August 27, 2026. In a post last week on the Ogden City Mayor Facebook page, Ogden Mayor Ben Nadolski said the old neon signage is being replaced with LED lighting to help lighten the load of maintenance that was needed on the original sign and save money on energy consumption. Work is also ongoing on the fountain in front of the station as well as on other short-term projects, including installing a structure to cover the recently restored Merci Car which returned to the station after a two-year restoration earlier this summer.
