Ogden Jets open football season with road loss; 17 Northern Utah players rostered
The Ogden Jets post-prep football team made its debut Saturday in Kennewick, Washington, to play Pacific Northwest Christian College.
The Jets scored late to potentially tie the game but saw it erased by a flag and lost their opener 21-13.
The game was tied 7-7 after one quarter.
Ogden cut the score to 15-13 in the third quarter with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Rome Engemann (Lone Peak HS) to Jaden Gallegos (Ogden).
The Jets missed a go-ahead field goal attempt later in the third quarter and PNCC scored a touchdown for the final tally early in the fourth quarter.
Ogden’s next game is Friday, a road trip to Air Force Preparatory Academy in Colorado Springs.
Ogden’s roster includes 17 players from Weber and Davis counties, among more from around Utah overall. Below is a list of Northern Utah players listed by high school alma mater, or listed hometown if they prepped outside the area.
