Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George brings the ball up court during an NBA summer league game against Philadelphia on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Salt Lake City.

Keyonte George returned to the court and again outclassed the competition for the Utah Jazz, while Dillon Jones and the Oklahoma City Thunder claimed an additional win to give both Utah and OKC 2-1 records as Salt Lake City Summer League wrapped up Wednesday at the Delta Center.

All 30 teams next travel their summer squads to Las Vegas for NBA Summer League from July 12-22. OKC (against Toronto) and Utah (against Dallas) both play their Vegas opener Saturday night, July 13.

After a night off, second-year guard Keyonte George again got to the free-throw line at will, shooting 11 of 12 on freebies and 9 of 15 from the field for 31 points and five assists to lead Utah to victory.

The Jazz overcame a 10-point halftime deficit with 33 points in the third quarter.

Utah 2023 draft pick Taylor Hendricks added 18 points and shot 4 of 6 from the 3-point line, adding six rebounds and three blocks. Third-year player Walker Kessler also returned to action, grabbing 15 rebounds.

Cody Williams, this year’s No. 10 overall pick for the Jazz, totaled two points, three rebounds and two assists on 0-of-8 shooting in 28 minutes.

Ricky Council IV again led Philadelphia in scoring, totaling 20 points.

THUNDER 80, GRIZZLIES 77

With apparent tired legs, both teams struggled to shoot 40% from the field, but the Thunder took control with 1:48 left when Ousmane Dieng knocked down a triple on an assist from Dillon Jones.

Jones, the Weber State star, finished with seven points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals, logging big minutes for the third straight night with 30 (summer league games are 40 minutes instead of the traditional 48 in the NBA). He shot 2 of 11 from the field but swished home a 3-pointer with 4:22 left after Memphis cut its deficit to two.

Ajay Mitchell shined for OKC, scoring 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

Big man Trey Jemison went 9 of 12 in the paint to lead Memphis with 20 points. GG Jackson, a fellow native of Columbia, South Carolina, with Jones, hit three of his team’s five 3-pointers on the way to 18 points.
