Prep roundup: Ogden, Morgan advance with shutouts in 3A soccer playoffs
OGDEN — Ogden High girls soccer scored four goals in each half in an 8-0 shutout win over No. 19 South Summit in the 3A second round Wednesday.
Neveah Peregrina had three goals and three assists for No. 3 Ogden (13-4). Tori Kalista added two goals and three assists while Ruth Larsen also scored a brace. South Summit (5-14) had an own-goal off a Larson corner.
Emily Blackford kept the clean sheet for the Tigers, who will host No. 6 Carbon at 1 p.m. Saturday in the quarterfinals
MORGAN 6, NORTH SANPETE 0
MORGAN — Lacie Poll netted a hat trick as No. 1 Morgan blanked No. 17 North Sanpete (4-11) in the 3A second round.
Aspen Telford and Jayda Jones each had a goal and an assist for Morgan (15-2). Brecklee Charlton netted one goal. Ashlyn Noss, Meliah Moore, Macie Burton and Sydney Erickson each assisted one score.
Viana Johnson, Miya Turner and Madison Wangsgard shared the clean sheet for the Trojans, who will host No. 8 Juan Diego at 1 p.m. Saturday.
ST. JOSEPH 13, SAN JUAN 0
OGDEN — Ciera Aguirre and Abby Gough each had four goals and one assist as No. 5 St. Joseph blanked No. 12 San Juan (2-12) in the 2A second round.
Kenzie Munson kept the clean sheet in goal for St. Joseph (10-5). Avery Costello netted twice. Ellen Rickerd had one goal and three assists. Cicily Flores and Abee Walker added one goal and one assist apeace.
The Jayhawks will face No. 4 American Heritage at 1 p.m. Saturday.

SALT LAKE CITY — St. Joseph swept Rowland Hall (13-6, 7-3 Region 17) to capture the Jayhawks’ second consecutive region championship. Scores were 26-24, 25-15, 25-23.
Montes Hernandez led St. Joseph (19-3, 9-1) with eight kills and 12 digs. Sarah Snell had six kills, 10 digs and 13 assists. Lexy Bombela added 10 assists and nine digs while Katelyn Sumner tallied 16 digs.
