LAYTON — Bountiful High volleyball clinched at least a share of the Region 5 crown with a straight-sets win at Northridge on Thursday night. Set scores were 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.

Evalyn Chism tallied 33 assists, five kills, three aces and two blocks for Bountiful (22-3, 8-10 Region 5). Mia Ray added 11 kills, seven digs and one ace. Elle Burleson served four aces and had 15 digs. Jordyn Harvey added nine kills, three blocks and nine digs.

Northridge (17-8, 6-3) did not report stats.

SYRACUSE 3, CLEARFIELD 0

CLEARFIELD — Syracuse inched closer to a perfect region season with a sweep at Clearfield: 25-21, 25-14, 25-13.

Andie Thomas led Syracuse (22-2, 11-0 Region 1) with 16 kills and Tehana Mo’o added 10 kills. Hailee Garcia had four aces and 29 assists. Kallie Johansen tallied three blocks. Kambree Rodriguez had 14 digs and Mikelle Neilson added 12 digs.

McKenna Steiner paced Clearfield (13-7, 7-4) with five kills and three blocks. Delaney Rasband dished out 19 assists and Sadie Christiansen had 14 digs. Savannah Anderton served one ace.

FREMONT 3, DAVIS 0

KAYSVILLE — Fremont won in straight sets at Davis: 26-24, 25-6, 25-5.

Maggie Mendelson led Fremont (16-11, 8-3 Region 1) with 13 kills and three aces. Ayva Cebollero tallied six blocks and 22 assists. Burkelle Field added four aces, five kills and blocks.

Aubrey Nielson had 11 kills for Davis (13-14, 5-6).

WEBER 3, LAYTON 0

LAYTON — Weber beat Layton in straight sets: 25-23, 25-20, 25-15.

Weber (10-16, 3-9 Region 1) did not report stats.

Mercedes Lopez paced Layton (6-20, 0-11) with two aces 21 assists. Kristen Harrison had 10 kills, Kadie Sheriff tallied two blocks and Sage Hildebrandt added five digs.

ROY 3, WEST 0

SALT LAKE CITY — Roy won in straight sets at West: 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Jayna Rogers led Roy (14-7, 10-2) with seven kills and eight aces. Nelly Arenas had 24 digs. Chloe Cummins tallied 10 kills while Sierra Jones added 12 kills and 17 digs.

Roy also swept West at home on Wednesday. Set scores were 26-24, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18.

VIEWMONT 3, BONNEVILLE 0

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Viewmont won at Bonneville in straight sets: 25-11, 25-10, 25-13.

Viewmont (15-11, 4-5 Region 5) did not report stats.

Kelsie Heslop led Bonneville (9-18, 0-9) with five kills, one ace and 16 digs. Peighton Summers added nine assists, one kill, seven digs and one block.
