Prep roundup: Bonneville girls soccer claims home win; Region 1 golf tees off

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Emilie Christensen kept a clean sheet and Bonneville High girls soccer blanked Maple Mountain 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Sadie Beardall and Summer Diamond each scored in the first half for Bonneville (3-0).

BOX ELDER 6, MORGAN 1

BRIGHAM CITY — Box Elder scored all six goals in the first half in a win over Morgan.

Kaydence Barber netted a hat trick for Box Elder (3-0). Sarena Mackley, Halle Wright and Desarae Elegante each scored once.

Kaydence Wardell scored on an Addie Boyer assist in the second half for Morgan (2-1).

MOUNTAIN CREST 6, WEBER 2

PLEASANT VIEW — Weber led 2-1 at the break, then gave up five goals in the second half to lose at home to Mountain Crest.

Sammi Horton and Maci Rackman each scored one goal for Weber (1-1).

FARMINGTON 2, CORNER CANYON 1 (2OT)

FARMINGTON — Paige Erickson scored a golden goal on a Swayzee Arnell assist in the second session of extra time to send Farmington past Corner Canyon.

Cara Christopherson netted and Anndi Wright assisted in the second half for Farmington (2-1).

PLEASANT GROVE 3, FREMONT 1

PLEASANT GROVE — Kya Parke scored on a free kick in the 18th minute but Fremont (0-3) fell at Pleasant Grove.

REGION 1 MATCH

WEST BOUNTIFUL — Layton High’s David Liechty shot a 4-under-par 67 to win medalist honors at Tuesday’s Region 1 match at Lakeside Golf Course.

Fremont took first place as a team with a score of 283. Layton and Farmington tied for second with 290. Weber shot 294, Davis 301, Syracuse 303 and Clearfield 332.

Jack Summerhays (Farmington) and Cohen Stanger (Weber) tied for second with a 2-under 69. Fremont teammates Karson Tesch, Kyson Christensen and Emett Jones, and Farmington’s Cole Taylor, each shot 71 for fourth place.

Luke Dalebout (Fremont), Max Landon (Davis), Josh Dye (Weber) and Spencer Poll (Layton) tied for 10th place with a 72.
