FREMONT TAKES REGION 5 MATCH

BRIGHAM CITY — Fremont had the best team score and the individual winner in the latest Region 5 boys golf match held Monday at Eagle Mountain.

Gavin Tesch took the top spot with a 68 and teammates Hutt Hadley and Luke Manning followed at T2 with scores of 69. Mack Herzog (West Field), Kanyon DeRyke (Box Elder), Josh Wallis (Bonneville) and Jesse Jones (Roy) all tied for fourth with 70s.

Team scores were: Fremont 281, West Field 298, Box Elder 302, Roy 314, Northridge 315, Clearfield 318, Bonneville 320.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

ST. JOSEPH 3, ROWLAND HALL 0

OGDEN — St. Joseph swept Rowland Hall by scores of 26-24, 25-12, 25-23.

Sophia Fischer paced St. Joseph (2-6) with nine kills, 17 assists, four aces, three blocks and four digs. Mya Rogers had nine kills, nine digs and one ace. Sophie Yates tallied 16 digs while Paige Howe served seven aces and added three kills.
