Prep basketball roundup: Davis boys light nets for 16 3-pointers in home win
KAYSVILLE — All five starters and one reserve scored in double figures as Davis High boys basketball ran away from Copper Hills in a 92-57 home win Tuesday night.
JT Turley led the Darts (1-1) with 19 points on three 3-pointers, dishing seven assists. Dilan Petersen tallied 17 points with four treys.
Tradon Bessinger and Cameron Brower each scored 16 points, with Bessinger hitting four 3-pointers and Brower hauling in seven rebounds. Bode Sparrow added 10 points and nine assists while Gus Van Brocklin scored 11 points off the bench.
Davis shot 16 of 30 from behind the 3-point arc.
LAYTON CHRISTIAN 66, CORNER CANYON 60
LAYTON — Layton Christian built a 55-39 lead after three quarters in a home win over Corner Canyon.
Emilis Zibuda led Layton Christian (4-0) with 13 points and three 3-pointers. Gabriel Sularski tallied 11 points and Joost Dalgaard scored 10 points. Matija Moravcevic and Osaigbovo Aguebor each added eight points.

SALT LAKE CITY — West High outscored West Field 18-13 in the final frame.
Daxton Laughter led West Field (2-1) with 12 points. Cason Malan tallied 11 points with two 3-pointers and Drew Faddis scored 10 points.

BOX ELDER — Box Elder trailed 23-15 at the half in a home loss to Sky View.
Ryan Jenson and Jaxson Jeppsen each scored 12 points for Box Elder (3-1), with Jenson hitting two 3-pointers. Krew Peterson tallied 11 points and Jantzen Vranes added eight.

PLAIN CITY — Fremont trailed 31-30 after three quarters and couldn’t close the gap in a home loss to Bountiful.
Abby Christensen led all scorers with 13 points for Fremont (2-1). Ellie McArthur added eight points.

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Skyline outscored Bonneville 14-7 in the fourth quarter to take the decision.
