Fremont's Salesi Moa smiles during a summer practice on Thursday, July 17, 2025, in Plain City.

Fremont High senior Salesi Moa is staying in Utah.

The state’s No. 1 prospect flipped his commitment from Tennessee to the University of Utah on Wednesday, 247 Sports first reported. Moa joins a list of nationwide prospects who either pause their commitments or flip on the first day of the early football signing period, which goes from Dec. 3-5.

Moa previously committed to Tennessee on June 20 and remained such through the end of his final high school season. The two-way, four-star athlete tallied 1,272 receiving yards, 16 touchdowns, 57 total tackles and three interceptions for the Silverwolves in his senior sendoff.

247 Sports scouting director Andrew Ivins compared Moa to Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Jalen McMillan, and described Utah’s top recruit as “a productive two-way athlete with slick athleticism that could play on either side of the ball in college.”

Moa collected as many as 14 Power 4 offers, including BYU and Michigan. As of Wednesday night, Moa has not officially signed with the Utes.

Moa’s father, Ben, played tight end at Utah.
