Boys lacrosse brackets: West Field takes No. 1 seed in 4A playoffs; 6A/5A fields set
West Field High boys lacrosse, the first team to capture a region title for the first-year school in Taylor, tallied another historical note by landing the No. 1 seed in the state 4A playoffs after the UHSAA released tournament brackets for all three lacrosse-playing classifications.
West Field (15-3) made an unbeaten run through Region 11. Its region foe, Bear River, landed a No. 3 seed and a first-round bye alongside the Longhorns.
In 6A, Region 1 champ and undefeated Davis (16-0) got the No. 2 seed behind No. 1 Corner Canyon in the UHSAA’s RPI system.
All three tournaments are hosted at home sites through the quarterfinals with games Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday this week.
All semifinals will be played Wednesday, May 21, at Westminster College. The championship matches are set for Friday, May 23, at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.
