Ogden's Elle Weston fires a free kick during a nonregion girls soccer contest at Clearfield on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, in Clearfield.

Ogden opens the 3A state girls soccer tournament as the overall No. 1 seed after closing the regular season with 11 consecutive wins for the program’s first region title since 2023 and the first of Alexis King’s career as head coach.

Poised for another deep playoff run, the defending state champion Tigers (14-2, 8-0 Region 12) earned the lone first-round bye, while 14 other teams will contest first-round matches on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at home sites.

Greeting Ogden in the state title game a year ago, Morgan (4-11, 3-5) will battle at No. 8 Delta for the vacant second-round seat with the Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 18, in Ogden. The Trojans have already been shut out by Ogden twice this season (8-0 on the road and 4-0 at home).

Ben Lomond, the No. 13 seed, will also hit the road for a first-round matchup at No. 4 Grantsville on Wednesday, as the Scots hope to snap a five-game losing streak since Sept. 16 at Logan.

The 3A semifinals are slated for Thursday, Oct. 23, at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman (Match 1 at 2 p.m., and Match 2 at 4:30 p.m.). The state title game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, at America First Field (2 p.m.).
