Girls volleyball playoffs: St. Joseph earns first-round bye in initial bracket reveals
Morgan among top 3 in 3A tournament; Ogden checks in at No. 6

A basket of volleyballs sits near Fremont High's court on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, in Plain City.St. Joseph picked up a first-round bye as the No. 3 seed in the 1A state girls volleyball bracket, which was released with the 2A through 4A brackets by the UHSAA on Monday morning.
The Jayhawks (19-9) will meet the winner of No. 14 Whitehorse (11-10)/No. 19 Green River (5-16) in the second round of the postseason on Thursday at the UCCU Center at Utah Valley University.
Region 12 champion Morgan (22-5) checked into the 3A tournament as the No. 3 seed and will play No. 14 seed, and region neighbor, Logan (9-19) on Oct. 27; No. 16 Ben Lomond (0-22) will challenge unbeaten frontrunner No. 1 North Sanpete (28-0).
The No. 6 seed, Ogden (15-12), will meet No. 11 Providence.
First-round matches for 1A, 2A and 4A are contested at home sites Wednesday through Friday. All subsequent matches are contested at UVU. All 3A matches will be contested at UVU from Oct. 27-28.
