Tigers reopen head coaching search seven months until Opening Day

Kyle Bubak resigned as head coach of the Tigers last week, the school told the Standard-Examiner on Wednesday. A posting for head baseball coach was posted to the district’s online job board on Tuesday.
Ogden improved by from five wins to eight in Bubak’s follow-up season as head coach, but the task of turning the team into a consistent competitor will fall into new hands as the school begins yet another coaching search since Doyle Holt resigned following an 18-7 run in 2023 as the All-Area Baseball Team of the Year that spring.
Under Bubak, the Tigers won just seven total region games during the 2025 and 2026 campaigns.
It’s been a tough of run for baseball in the Ogden metro, as neither the Tigers or Ben Lomond have posted a winning record since 2023. The Scots, bringing on Dawson Anderson in 2025, haven’t posted a winning season since before the Obama administration.
