Boys basketball playoffs: No. 1 seed Morgan, Ben Lomond to square off in 3A bracket
Ogden wins home berth in first-round matchup with Manti

Morgan coach Scott Hunt looks on during the 3A boys basketball championship game against Richfield on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at the UCCU Center in Orem.The boys basketball state championship brackets for the 3A and 4A tournaments, released by the UHSAA on Saturday morning, assigned Morgan the No. 1 seed in the 3A tourney and a matchup with familiar region foe in No. 16 Ben Lomond.
The Trojans (20-3) have piled a 100-point differential on the Scots (2-21) in two regular-season meetings already, and will welcome BL into their home gym for a second time on Friday, Feb. 13.
Ogden (14-9), the No. 7 seed, will host No. 10 Manti (9-14) in the opening round Friday. The Tigers ended the regular season winning three of their last four games, but took a 24-point loss at Morgan to cap the regular season.
All first-round 3A matchups are contested at home sites, with all subsequent rounds held Feb. 19-21 at Southern Utah University’s America First Events Center in Cedar City.
In the 4A tournament, first- and second-round games are contested at home sites Feb. 10 and Feb. 13. The quarterfinals through the final are Feb. 18-21 at Weber State University’s Dee Events Center in Ogden.
The 6A, 5A and 1A boys basketball brackets are scheduled to be released on Saturday, Feb. 14.

First round (Feb. 13): No. 16 Ben Lomond (2-21) at No. 1 Morgan (20-3), 7 p.m.; No. 10 Manti (9-14) at No. 7 Ogden (14-9), 7 p.m.
