Prep basketball roundup: Weber boys outlast West Field in double overtime
TAYLOR — Weber High boys basketball outscored West Field 27-19 in the fourth quarter to force extra time, then won the game with a 7-4 advantage in the second overtime to take the nonregion matchup 79-76 on Tuesday night.
Thomas Packer scored a game-high 29 points, including eight in overtime, for Weber (7-10). Derik Bowden tallied 17 points with three 3-pointers. Creed DeVries added 11 points.
Daxton Laughter led West Field (10-6) with 26 points while making four 3-pointers. Jaden Fowers added 23 points with three treys. Drew Faddis tallied 20 points.
FARMINGTON 80, SYRACUSE 66
FARMINGTON — Carter Robinson tallied a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as Syracuse fell at Farmington (10-7, 1-2 Region 1).
Colton Hoenigman scored 18 points and Skyler Orton added 13 for Syracuse (10-6, 2-1 Region 1).

WEBER 55, WEST FIELD 38
TAYLOR — Weber led 29-24 at the half and pulled away after the break in a win at West Field.
Jade Kulpa led Weber (11-5) with 13 points and two 3-pointers. Rylee Jugler hit three treys on her way to 11 points and Abigail Hall added nine points.
Kylee Mueller scored a game-high 24 points with five 3-pointers for West Field (9-8). Kenzie Bagby added seven points.
MORGAN 49, OGDEN 41
MORGAN — Morgan outscored Ogden 12-6 in the second quarter to take control in a region win.
Morgan (9-9, 5-0 Region 12) did not report stats.
Juliet Knowles led Ogden (9-9, 2-3) with 13 points with four 3-pointers. Millie Nadolski added seven points while Taylor Duke and Megan Beus each scored six points on two 3-pointers.
BEN LOMOND 57, LOGAN 33
LOGAN — Diana Campos-Ramer scored at all levels to get Ben Lomond on the board in region play with a win at Logan (6-10, 0-5 Region 12).
Campos-Ramer totaled 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including two 3-pointers, and shot 5 of 8 at the foul line, to lead Ben Lomond (4-13, 1-4).
TOOELE 51, BEAR RIVER 43
GARLAND — Bear River was outscored 26-18 across the second and third quarters for the final margin in a home loss to Tooele (9-8, 4-5 Region 11).
Maylee Higley led Bear River (7-11, 2-7) with 11 points on two 3-pointers. Kanyon Allsup scored nine points and Sami Theurer added seven.
