Prep basketball roundup: Box Elder boys top Roy; Fremont, Morgan get wins
BRIGHAM CITY — Box Elder High boys basketball took control with a 17-11 second-quarter advantage Wednesday to claim a 47-42 region win over Roy in a game neither team shot better than 34% from the field.
Krew Peterson led all scorers with 17 points and three 3-pointers for Box Elder (8-9, 3-3 Region 5). Jaxon Jeppsen added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Anthony Parker and Boston Greenhalgh each scored 13 points to lead Roy (12-5, 4-2), with Parker hitting two 3-pointers and Greenhalgh hauling in six rebounds.
FREMONT 68, CLEARFIELD 62
CLEARFIELD — Fremont outscored Clearfield 18-13 in the final frame to claim a region road win.
Easton Hansen led Fremont (6-11, 4-2 Region 5) with 18 points. Zach Hancock tallied 16 points. Cam Campbell added 13 points with two 3-pointers and Zeb Whetton scored 12 points on four treys.
Jack Galvan led all scorers with 19 points for Clearfield (7-10, 4-2). Elijah Dankwa added 12 points and two 3-pointers.
NORTHRIDGE 72, BONNEVILLE 66
WASHINGTON TERRACE — Northridge outscored Bonneville 29-19 in the fourth quarter for a comeback region win.
Northridge (8-9, 1-5 Region 5) did not report stats.
Jackson Call led all scorers with 23 points and eight rebounds for Bonneville (2-15, 0-6). Bryson Landis tallied 14 points and 14 rebounds. Davis Degroot scored 14 points while Cohen Cypers hit three 3-pointers for nine points.

OGDEN — Bracken Saunders scored 33 points, making four 3-pointers, to lead Morgan to a comfortable win at Ogden.
Jake Hansen tallied 21 points for Morgan (16-2, 5-0 Region 12) and Brody Peterson added 17 points with five treys.
Jackson Maw scored 17 points to lead Ogden (11-7, 2-5). Ryan Kirkland netted 12 points while Briggs Galbraith and Peter Archibald each added nine points.

LOGAN — Logan (3-14, 3-2 Region 12) outscored Ben Lomond 22-2 in the second quarter.
