Prep basketball roundup: Fremont girls, Davis boys add to win column
PLAIN CITY — Fremont High girls basketball ran out to a 19-9 lead after the first quarter and kept the pressure on in a 66-24 region win over Box Elder on Friday.
Abby Christensen led all scorers with 22 points and two 3-pointers for Fremont (17-2, 9-0 Region 5). Ellie McArthur added 12 points and Brynn Wadman tallied 10 points with two treys.
Emma Nelson paced Box Elder (8-11, 3-5) with 10 points. Ava Miles scored three points.
BONNEVILLE 62, ROY 31
WASHINGTON TERRACE — Bonneville buried Roy with a 22-5 second quarter.
Adisyn Stone led a balanced Bonneville (9-10, 4-4 Region 5) effort with 11 points. Baylee Webb scored nine points on three 3-pointers. Whitni Johnson scored nine points, Ema Eskelsen added eight, and Baya Jimenez pitched in seven points and 10 rebounds.
Roy (0-19, 0-9) got 11 points from Quincy Hoover. Lily Solomona totaled nine points and nine rebounds.
NORTHRIDGE 38, WEST FIELD 24
TAYLOR — Northridge took a 24-13 lead into halftime in a region road win at West Field.
Rihanna May led all scorers with 17 points for Northridge (3-16, 3-6 Region 5). Penelope Arroyo added eight points and two 3-pointers.
Kylee Mueller paced West Field (9-11, 4-5) with 11 points. Meghan Peterson added nine points on three 3-pointers.
PROV HALL 46, BEN LOMOND 33
OGDEN — Ben Lomond battled but a 15-5 third quarter led Providence Hall to a win in a nonregion matchup Friday.
Diana Campos-Ramer led Ben Lomond (4-17) with 14 points. Regahn Espinoza pulled down 15 rebounds, adding four assists and three steals. Trinytee Martinez added 10 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
MORGAN 63, BEN LOMOND 6
MORGAN — Morgan held Ben Lomond to three points in each half in a region win Thursday.
Morgan (11-10, 7-1 Region 12) did not report stats.
Trinytee Martinez led Ben Lomond (4-16, 1-7) with three points, four rebounds and three steals.

GRANTSVILLE — Ogden led 26-24 after three quarters but fell in a 12-6 fourth quarter for a region loss at Grantsville (10-11, 7-1 Region 12) on Thursday.
Freshman Millie Nadolski paced Ogden (10-11, 3-5) with 12 points. Salote Tonga scored six points.

GARLAND — Bear River trailed 38-26 after three quarters in a region loss to Ridgeline (15-7, 9-3 Region 11) Thursday.
Olivia Fry led Bear River (8-13, 3-9) with nine points and 12 rebounds. Maylee Higley scored seven points and Samantha Theurer added six points.

PLEASANT VIEW — JT Turley scored a game-high 21 points with four 3-pointers to lead Davis to a region win at Weber.
Dilan Petersen hit six treys on his way to 18 points for Davis (13-6, 4-1 Region 1). Bode Sparrow added 15 points. Tradon Bessinger led the Darts with seven rebounds, six assists and five steals.
Beau Potokar paced Weber (7-13, 0-5) with 15 points and three 3-pointers. Carson Hill scored 12 points with two treys and Derik Bowden added 11 points.
OGDEN 47, GRANTSVILLE 38
OGDEN — Jackson Maw scored a game-high 15 points to lead Ogden past Grantsville (10-10, 2-6 Region 12) in a low-scoring region win.
Tayson Porter added 10 points for Ogden (13-8, 4-4) and Briggs Galbraith added eight points.

PLAIN CITY — Fremont led 15-12 after one quarter, then Box Elder took control with a 19-4 second-quarter advantage in a region road win.
Ryan Jenson led all scorers with 22 points and four 3-pointers for Box Elder (9-10, 4-4 Region 5). Gunnar Gunderson and Eli Gilmore each tallied nine points.
Zach Hancock paced Fremont (6-14, 4-5) with 17 points. Calvin Cooper scored 10 points with two 3-pointers and Cam Campbell added nine points.

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Roy used a 19-9 first quarter to distance itself in a road win at Bonneville.
Jesse Jones led Roy (15-5, 7-2 Region 5) with 22 points and eight rebounds while shooting 3 of 5 from the 3-point line. Rock Speredon hauled in 15 rebounds while scoring four points and dishing five assists. Jakob Hamblin scored 14 points, Boston Greenhalgh had 11 points and Anthony Parker added 10.
Jackson Call totaled 17 points and seven rebounds for Bonneville (2-17, 0-8). Cole Monson (on four 3s) and Davis Degroot each scored 12 points.
