OUTLOOK

Ogden returns depth at every skill position, but a shakeup at quarterback adds mystery to just what becomes of the Tiger offense this fall as Terry Larsen and his coaching staff look to build upon consecutive seven-win seasons. Emmett Rector, a junior, steps under center to allow senior Blake Weston, throwing for 1,625 yards and 14 touchdowns last year, to jump back into a senior-led receiver corps alongside Jack Thompson and tight end Nash Bockwoldt. Senior tackle Ryan Kirkland returns up front to ease the transition, and Anderson Curry heads up the backfield with junior Ryker Rice. The Tigers, though, are young up front and are looking for growth on both sides of the ball as the team leans on Larsen’s “strong foundation” to step forward and take a stab at the 3A North region. The schedule includes a few tests up front, too, including a first-ever football matchup with 5A West Field headlining Week 3.
