ROY — Bonneville and Roy split a doubleheader Monday.

In the first game, Roy (1-2, 1-1 Region 5) scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for a walkoff win. Lorelai Sherrod hit a triple and a double and drove in three for the Royals. Madi Dedman batted 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Megan Johnson and Promise Ngyne each hit a single and drove in two.

Marley Chournos hit a single and a double and drove in one for Bonneville (1-1, 1-1). Whitney Richards, Samantha Mills and Andie Elmer each had two hits and one RBI. Ellee Summers drove in two on a single.

In the nightcap, Bonneville scored 12 runs in the sixth inning to trigger the run rule. Madilynn DeGroot and Ellee Summers each batted 5 for 6 and combined for two triples, three doubles and nine RBIs. Whitney Richards hit three doubles and drove in four. Bentley Hastings batted 3 for 5 with a double and three RBIs.

Kinzley Finken, Mia Juarez and Payten Gibsen each hit a single for Roy. Johnson drove in two without a hit.

NORTH LOGAN — Roy’s Parker Skidmore allowed just one earned run on four hits, striking out six and walking one, but Green Canyon added two unearned runs in the first inning and it was enough to beat the Royals.

Jace Barela plated Chase Moran with an RBI single in the fifth for Roy (2-2).

PROVO — Ogden was held to three hits and gave up 14 runs in the second inning in a four-inning loss at Provo.

Easton Green hit a double for Ogden (1-6) and Spencer Deichman hit a single. Green took the loss with 14 runs on six hits, seven walks and two strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings.
