GARLAND — Bear River scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning for a walkoff win over Pocatello (Idaho).

Jackson Barfuss batted 3 for 4 with a triple and two runs scored for Bear River (7-0). Stephan Starns, Jaxon Theurer and Dallin Bevan each had two hits. Broxton Gardner got the win with two hits, two earned runs, three walks and five strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings.

MORGAN 12, SUMMIT ACADEMY 2

MORGAN — Morgan scored seven runs in the fourth inning to take a 9-2 lead and beat Summit Academy in five innings.

Owen Gilson hit a home run, drove in four and scored two runs for Morgan (4-3). Marcus Trease hit a triple, a double and drove in four. Easton Venz and Kanyon Leonelli each hit a double and had one RBI. Karson Black got the win in two innings of relief, with two hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

SYRACUSE — Syracuse scored two runs in the sixth inning in a home loss to Mountain Crest.

Connor Wilcox batted 2 for 3 with a double and both RBIs for Syracuse (0-6). Crosby Albright hit a single.

BRIGHAM CITY — Box Elder led 3-1 after two innings, then Green Canyon scored six runs in the third inning and the Bees could not recover in a home loss.

Korver Smith hit a solo home run for Box Elder (0-6). Camden Christensen and Porter Francom each had two hits.
