The Longhorns (21-4, 17-1 Region 5), closing the regular season with a three-game sweep over Clearfield on Wednesday, received the No. 4 seed and an automatic super regional bid against the winner of No. 13 Olympus and No. 20 Brighton. That’s set to begin Wednesday, May 13, in Taylor.

All regional and super regional matchups are contested May 8-14 at home sites. Those best-of-three series determins who advances to a double-elimination bracket play; bracket play and state championship series are contested May 18-23 at Utah Valley University’s UCCU Ballpark.

Box Elder, West Field and Clearfield all earned byes to the second round and home-field advantage for 5A softball super regionals.
