Ogden (4-3, 1-1 3A North) took a 10-0 lead on a touchdown pass and a Colton Rasmussen 27-yard field goal.

Grantsville (5-2, 1-1) cut the lead to 10-6 at the half. Eli Gastelum scored on a 1-yard dive to give the Tigers a 17-6 lead in the third quarter. Grantsville responded with a touchdown pass, then the pick-six that gave the Cowboys their short-lived lead at 21-17.

ROY 27, CLEARFIELD 20 (OT)

ROY — Roy quarterback Gunner Pearson posted a 200-100 game and the Royals held off Clearfield in overtime in a game where 34 of the contest’s 47 points were scored in the fourth quarter or later.

Pearson threw 19 of 27 for 203 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for Roy (3-4, 2-2 Region 5). Pearson added 126 yards on 14 carries and two more touchdowns. Juju Teran caught seven passes for 58 yards and Luke Pebley had three catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Dickson hauled in Pearson’s other touchdown pass.

Clearfield (2-5, 0-3) did not report stats.

BOX ELDER 43, BONNEVILLE 7

BRIGHAM CITY — Kadyn Reyes passed for three touchdowns, rushed for one score and caught a touchdown pass as Box Elder blasted Bonneville.

Rhet Richards caught all three of the Reyes scoring strikes for Box Elder (6-1, 3-0 Region 5), the first of which came from 45 yards out to open the scoring 1 1/2 minutes in. Reyes hauled in a Beck Davis pass on a Philly Special with a double-reverse twist to give BE a 13-0 lead after one quarter.

Reyes scored on a 59-yard run to make the score 19-0 with 6:36 left in the first half. Two minutes later, Josh Pugsley picked off Bonneville (1-6, 0-4) quarterback Polo Afuvai and returned the interception 42 yards for a score. Reyes tossed two more scoring strikes to Richards from 26 and 51 yards out to give the Bees a 40-0 lead at the half.

Kaden Martinez scored on a 17-yard run to get the Lakers on the board with 6:14 left in the third quarter. Tytan Hupp booted a 41-yard field goal with 1:01 left in the game for the final margin.

FREMONT 14, FARMINGTON 11

FARMINGTON — Calvin Cooper’s two second-quarter touchdown passes to Ky Majors were enough to lift Fremont to a nonregion win at Farmington (3-4).

Fremont (5-2) held Farmington to 19 rushing yards on 1.6 yards per carry. Individual stats for Fremont players were not reported.

BEAR RIVER 28, GREEN CANYON 21

GARLAND — Preston Wilkinson passed for three long touchdowns and Karson Summers caught two of them as Bear River held off Green Canyon for a region home win.

On the second Bear River (5-2, 3-1 Region 11) play from scrimmage, Wilkinson pitched the ball to Glaiden Behrens, who heaved the ball to a wide-open Summers behind the defense for an 80-yard score.

Soon after, Wilkinson found Behrens behind the Green Canyon defense for a 65-yard touchdown pass and a 14-7 halftime lead.

After Green Canyon tied the game in the fourth quarter, Bear River responded with Wilkinson passing touchdowns to Summers (77 yards) and Eli Braegger (30 yards) for a 28-14 lead with 4:22 left.

GC scored with 2:14 left but Rigdon Vonk recovered the ensuing onside kick, giving first-year Bears coach Craig Anhder a 2-0 record against his former schools.

MORGAN 56, BEN LOMOND 0

OGDEN — Owen Gilson passed four touchdowns to four different receivers to lead Morgan to a mercy-rule win at Ben Lomond.

George Thurston sprinted 80 yards to open the scoring for Morgan (6-1, 2-0 3A North) 15 seconds into the game. Kade Spens forced and recovered a Ben Lomond (1-6, 0-2) fumble, and two plays later Rhett Larsen scored on a 10-yard run.

Gilson tossed an 18-yard scoring strike to Thurston, a 40-yarder to Larsen and a 15-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Allen, and the Trojans led 35-0 after one quarter.

In the second quarter, Charles Sheffield turned a short Gilson pass into a 42-yard touchdown and Cael Edgington scored on an 11-yard screen pass from Bridger Neuenschwander.

The Scots mishandled the ensuing kickoff, and Quade Kuhn picked up the bouncing ball and returned the fumble 8 yards for the final margin.
