Ogden Raptors thrash Boise 19-3 on Friday
The Ogden Raptors had already won their first three games against Boise coming into Friday and saved their apparent best performance for the fourth game.
Ogden put together a six-run fourth inning and five-run innings in the sixth and seventh, ultimately cruising past the Hawks 19-3. The Raptors had 24 base hits and stole six bases in seven tries.
Sonny Ulliana hit 3 for 5 with six RBIs, two doubles and a home run. Jesus Valdez drove in five runs, hitting a homer and a triple. Freddy Achecar hit the team’s third home run and drove in three runs. Josh Broughton hit 3 for 5 with four runs scored, two stolen bases and a double.
The Ogden starting pitcher, who was not listed on the roster and listed as “S. Duprey” on the box score, pitched five scoreless innings with five strikeouts. Brandon McCabe struck out four across the eighth and ninth.
