Outfielder Reese Alexiades homered twice and the Ogden Raptors won their third game out of four at Boise on Friday, defeating the Hawks 11-3 at Memorial Field by slugging to a big, early lead.

Christian Day picked up his first professional win, giving the Raptors (5-3) five innings on the mound. He spread out eight hits, allowed three runs and struck out six while walking two.

Raptors outfielder Pat Adams cashed in on three walks and a hit-by-pitch from Boise (3-6) starter Matt Dallas in the first inning. After the final walk pushed across a run, Adams smashed a grand slam to put Ogden up 5-0 after one inning.

From there, it was first baseman Freddy Achecar and the aforementioned Alexiades who racked up the runs. In the second inning, Achecar drove in Josh Broughton and Chuck Steele with a double, and Alexiades followed with a home run to make it 9-0.

The duo struck again in the seventh when Achecar tripled to set up the second Alexiades homer, which made it 11-3.

Achecar and Alexiades each scored three runs and Steele scored twice. Jesus Valdez doubled.

The two teams conclude their six-game series with games at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
