The Ogden Raptors did a lot of hitting Tuesday night and center fielder Jack Cone set the tone at the top of the order.

Cone homered twice in the same inning and totaled 13 bases, and Ogden opened a road series at Grand Junction with a 25-13 blowout win at Suplizio Field.

Cone led off what became a 10-run third inning with a solo homer, then came around to bat again and blasted a three-run shot. Cone also doubled twice Tuesday, finishing 5 for 8 with six RBIs.

The Raptors (10-15) led 18-7 after three innings. Grand Junction (8-17) got home runs from Kelly Dugan and former Raptors player Damian Henderson.

Ogden baseman Landen Barns hit 4 for 5 with a double and five RBIs. Designated hitter Nick Ultsch finished 4 for 6. Cone, Ultsch and Chris Sargent (who hit 3 for 5), the top of the order, each scored four runs.

New thrower Carson Angeroth got the win for Ogden, giving up one run on one hit over 2 2/3 innings.

The Raptors scored 12 runs on 10 hits against Jackalopes starter Evan Massie in two innings.

The two teams play again at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday.
