Big 7th inning the difference again for Ogden Raptors in win over Sky Sox

Wednesday, the Sky Sox (18-50, 9-12 second half) scored in the top of the seventh to take a 10-2 lead, which Ogden (37-31, 11-10) erased in the bottom half with eight runs.
Thursday, Colorado Springs got a TJ McKenzie RBI single and a sacrifice fly to erase a deficit and tie the game 7-7. Ogden didn’t quite get to the eight from Wednesday, but six runs keyed by a Cole Jordan two-run double and a Lane two-run single pushed the home team to a 13-7 lead.
Sky Sox DH Justin Johnson socked a three-run homer off Cameron Edmondson in the top of the eighth to keep the visitors within range at 13-10, but Ogden pieced together two more runs in the eighth (Jordan scored on a wild pitch and Lane singled in Kenny Oyama) for the final tally.
The game featured 27 hits and 21 walks. Kyler Stancato (third inning) was the only Ogden pitcher to keep Colorado Springs off the scoreboard, while Jonah Montes (sixth) gave up one unearned run.
Lane finished 4 for 5 at the plate and Oyama was 4 for 6 to lead Ogden. Jordan batted 3 for 4 with two doubles. TJ McKenzie had three hits for the visitors.
The teams play again at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
