Ogden Raptors series finale at Idaho Falls rained out

Rain nixed the series finale Thursday night between the Ogden Raptors and Idaho Falls Chukars at Melaleuca Field.
Neither team’s website nor the Pioneer League’s scoreboard indicated a rainout as of 11 p.m. Thursday; the Chukars did post about the rainout on Instagram.
While little info is available, it’s likely the game is fully canceled and won’t be made up later. Ogden and Idaho Falls do have nine future games on the schedule but none remaining in the first half, which ends on July 13.
The Raptors (22-16) are among the hottest teams in the Pioneer League, having won 11 of their last 14, but the rainout makes Ogden’s hopes to contend for the first-half title even more unlikely. Missoula and Oakland keep winning, again each tallying another victory Thursday night to improve to 29-10. That puts both teams 6 1/2 games ahead of Ogden for the first half’s two playoff berths with only nine games left.
Ogden travels overnight to Great Falls for a three-game series against the Voyagers (7-32) from Thursday through Sunday.
The Raptors then conclude the first half with a six-game homestand against Missoula from July 8-13.
