Start of 2nd half delayed for Ogden Raptors in Idaho Falls rainout

The Ogden Raptors will have to wait another day to start their pursuit of a second-half title or playoff berth.
The Raptors and the Idaho Falls Chukars saw Tuesday night’s game postponed due to inclement weather at Melaleuca Field in what was the first scheduled game of the Pioneer Baseball League’s second half. The two teams will play a doubleheader of seven-inning games Wednesday to get the schedule started.
Idaho Falls (27-20) finished one game better than Ogden (26-21) in the first half, but the Raptors won head-t0-head matchups 6-2.
Meanwhile, the Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers scored enough offense for the entire league Tuesday night in a 31-4 victory at Grand Junction. Yuba-Sutter socked eight home runs in the win, including three from Gio Brusa who totaled nine RBIs.
In Kalispell, Montana, first-half champion Oakland outdid Glacier 3-1 in a game that featured just 10 total hits.
