Fans file into Lindquist Field for an Ogden Raptors game Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Ogden.

The Ogden Raptors helped the Northern Colorado Owlz continue their descent to the bottom of the standings, claiming their fifth straight win and handing the visitors their eighth straight loss in a 10-2 decision Friday night at Lindquist Field.

Northern Colorado first baseman Christian Hall hit solo home runs in the first and eighth innings to account for both Owlz (5-28) runs.

The Raptors (19-15) got five innings from new starter Cole Stasio, who allowed the first Hall homer and three other hits while striking out four and walking two. Two-way lefty outfielder Kyler Stancato lowered his ERA to 2.70 by giving up one hit but facing the minimum over two scoreless innings with one strikeout and one double play.

Christian Ciuffetelli struck out two in the eighth but surrendered the second Hall homer. Jestin Jones used 11 pitches in a 1-2-3 ninth to end it.

Left fielder Cole Jordan and shortstop True Fontenot each hit 3 for 5 to lead Ogden at the plate, with Fontenot hitting a double. Evan Blum hit a two-run homer, and Carmine Lane and Cole Jordan added RBI singles, in a five-run fourth to give the Raptors a 6-1 lead.

Connor Bagnieski drove in two. Center fielder Damian Stone returned to the lineup for his first game since June 10, missing 14 games with a hand injury. He hit a double and scored two runs in the nine-spot Friday.

The series concludes at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
