Ogden Raptors add new broadcast voice with familiar pedigree
The Ogden Raptors are adding a new voice to the broadcast booth for the 2026 season.
The team announced the hire of Arden Louchheim as an additional announcer for play by play and color commentary. Louchheim is finishing up both her sports media degree and her women’s golf career at the University of Nebraska but will be in Ogden to join the booth for the full season.
Louchheim will join Ellis Beacom in his third season on the mic; the pair will share duties for play by play, color commentary, pre- and postgame interviews, and stats preparation, the team says.
“I am so pleased to have Arden join our broadcast team. Her pedigree is such that I assume she was born holding a microphone,” Raptors team president Dave Baggott said in a news release.
Louchheim, who won the 2025 Utah Women’s State Amateur Championship, has hosted shows on 93.7 The Ticket in Lincoln, Nebraska, and called various Cornhuskers sports in her time at the university. That includes the Las Vegas Bowl on New Year’s Eve 2025 when she joined her father, David Locke, to call Utah facing Nebraska in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Locke is the longtime radio voice of the Utah Jazz and broadcast veteran of decades.
“When her dad called and asked me if I knew of any teams hiring, I said ‘send me a demo reel.’ I knew within 30 seconds that I needed to be selfish and keep Arden for ourselves. She will be a major sports team broadcaster very soon,” Baggott said.
Louchheim joins the Raptors in time for the Pioneer Baseball League’s shift to a new streaming service. The PBL will now stream its video broadcasts via Home Team Network.
Accessed through PBLnetwork.com, Ogden’s home and away games will be available for the full regular season and playoffs. Sign-up on the site lists a yearly subscription for $54.99, which is one-third the price of yearly subscriptions on Flo Sports, the league’s previous partner (which also offered a monthly rate of $29.99.)
The Raptors begin their 96-game season on May 19 with a six-game series in Boise. Ogden’s home opener is Tuesday, May 26, in the first of a six-game home set with the Missoula Paddleheads.
The 2026 season is the franchise’s 33rd campaign.
