Ogden Raptors player Carmine Lane, left, speaks with manager Evan Parker during a game against the Boise Hawks on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at Lindquist Field in Ogden.

The Ogden Raptors took advantage of the schedule and swept struggling Idaho Falls for a 6-0 series victory, capped with a 14-11 win Sunday evening.

Ogden (10-8) has won seven straight games and during that streak, Thursday’s 14-10 win got manager Evan Parker to his 100th career managerial win. At 33 years old, Parker is said to be the youngest manager in the 87-year history of the Pioneer Baseball League to reach 100 wins.

Coming out of the recent week, Raptors first baseman Giuseppe Ferraro-Nahr is third in the PBL in batting average at .456, third in RBIs with 27, and in a four-way tie for first with seven homers. Starting pitcher Nico Saltaformaggio is the first in the league to four wins with Saturday’s victory.

After burying the Chukars (1-16) further down the standings, the Raptors have an opportunity to keep climbing. Next is a nine-game homestand from June 9-18 against two teams currently a combined 7-29.

Great Falls (6-12) comes to Lindquist Field from Jun 9-14 for a standard six-game series, then the barnstorming RedPocket Mobiles (1-17) make their lone trip to Ogden for three games from Tuesday, June 16, to Thursday, June 18.

Atop the standings, the new Long Beach Coast lead the league at 15-3 while a longtime PBL franchise, the Billings Mustangs, are in second at 14-3. The seventh-place Raptors are currently two games back from third place.
