Weber State leads the state with four players declared to enter the transfer portal — unsurprising, given WSU’s decision to move on from Eric Duft as head coach two weeks ago. Tentatively set for a five-player senior class, three of those players have already announced their intent to transfer as Weber State continues its first coaching search in 20 years.
Players can’t officially enter their names into the transfer portal until April 7, the day after the national championship game. Players then have two weeks, until April 21, to enter their names into the database to be eligible to play next season.
That does not apply to Weber State center Malek Gomma, however; as a graduate transfer, he’s entered his name and is available to contact now.
Jerrod Calhoun’s recent departure from Utah State may have an additional impact but for now, Thursday brought the first announcement of a defection from the Aggies, coming from forward Karson Templin.
Davis High alum Trevan Leonhardt is one of two high-producing Utah Valley guards to announce intent to transfer; that news became known Thursday as well.
Below is a look at Utah’s seven Division I men’s programs and who has announced their intent to transfer, with their 2025-26 season stats.
