Weber State football released its first depth chart of the 2021 fall season Thursday, a week away from the Wildcats’ opener at Utah (Sept. 2, 5:30 p.m., Pac-12 Networks).

There are few surprises as the Wildcats return nearly everyone from the spring campaign.

Freshman Bronson Barron sits at the top of the quarterback spot, as expected, and backed up by junior Randall Johnson.

Expected starter-level players not listed due to injury include offensive lineman Ethan Atagi and safety Desmond Williams. Tennessee transfer and junior Jordan Allen is not currently listed at the tight-end spot.

Alums of Northern Utah high schools dot the depth chart, including Haze Hadley (Fremont), Hayden Meacham (Layton), Noah Atagi (Bonneville), Cormac Boyer (Roy), McKade Mitton (Bear River) and Braxton Gunther (Woods Cross).
