Weber State men’s basketball: Non-conference schedule set for 2023-24 season
It’s fall, which means football, volleyball and soccer.
But college basketball teams will soon report for preseason camp and many schedules across the country are set.
Weber State has not yet announced its men’s basketball schedule for the 2023-24 season. But through public records requests and other teams announcing games or schedules, the Wildcats’ 13-game non-conference slate is filled out.
The Dillon Jones-led Wildcats, returning all five starters from last season, are perhaps expected to be the top team in the Big Sky Conference. Weber State has entered a new four-year agreement with Utah Valley, which begins this year in Orem. Otherwise, WSU’s expected success seems to have made other in-state teams balk at scheduling the Wildcats this season.
The Wildcats have five home games plus an exhibition, five road games and three neutral-site games.
WSU’s road and neutral slates appear to be particularly challenging, with always-good Saint Mary’s, two Mountain West road games and more, plus hosting South Dakota State (expected to be atop the Summit League) in Ogden.
Weber State should collect about $250,000 combined in guarantees from Saint Mary’s, Wyoming, Nevada, and the Atlantic Slam.
Below is WSU’s 2023-24 schedule.
