Weber State volleyball remains in 2nd place with 4-set win over Idaho State

Weber State volleyball improved to 9-3 in the Big Sky and 16-7 overall with a four-set win Saturday night at Swenson Gym in Ogden.

Dani Richins led the way with 20 kills and 23 digs in the 25-17, 25-22, 25-27, 25-17 victory.

Baylee Bodily added 13 kills and Ashley Gneiting totaled 10.

Brielle Rueckert led with four blocks, while Kate Standifird and Liana Woodley each had three.

Standifird added 42 assists and 21 digs. Makayla Sorenson had 14 digs.

Weber State remains in second place in the Big Sky, while Sacramento State (12-1) nears a clinching of the regular-season title.

Weber State finishes its home schedule next week by hosting Montana (9-15, 5-7) at 6 p.m. Thursday and Montana State (15-7 8-4) at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.

The Wildcats wrap up the regular season on Nov. 16 and 18, at Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado, ahead of the Big Sky tournament to be held Nov. 22-24 at Northern Colorado.
