Weber State volleyball loses in 4 sets at NoCo, finishes in 4th place
Playing for at least a share of second place, Weber State volleyball opened its match Saturday at Northern Colorado by taking the first set, then lost the next three on the way to a defeat in the regular-season finale.
WSU is 18-9 overall and went 11-5 in the Big Sky, good for fourth place.
Dani Richins totaled 13 kills, Baylee Bodily 11 and Ashley Gneiting 10 for Weber State.
Makenzie Harris racked up 22 kills for Northern Colorado, who took the win 16-25, 25-21, 27-25, 25-19.
As the No. 4 seed, Weber State opens the Big Sky tournament against No. 5 Portland State (16-11, 9-7) at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The two only met once this season, a WSU sweep victory on Oct. 14.
Northern Colorado hosts the conference tournament by virtue of winning the regular-season title in 2022. Below is the schedule, with all games streaming on ESPN+.
