Weather nixes most of Day 1 at Big Sky softball tournament
Big Sky updates schedule for championship bracket
Stormy weather stopped the first day of the Big Sky Conference softball tournament before it barely began Tuesday in Greeley, Colorado.
The first-round game between No. 4 Northern Colorado and No. 5 Portland State, Game 1 of the tournament, experienced an hour-plus rain delay, briefly resumed, paused for lightning and eventually the entire day’s slate was postponed.
The Bears and Vikings are tied 4-4 in the top of the fourth inning. They’re scheduled to resume that game at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
No. 3 Weber State is set for its first-round game against No. 6 Montana at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
