Prep football playoffs: Davis pulls away from Bingham in 6A victory

KAYSVILLE — No. 3 Davis High football pulled away from No. 14 Bingham (3-7) in the second half on the way to a 42-21 victory Friday afternoon, advancing to the 6A state quarterfinals.

Tradon Bessinger passed 27 of 37 for 391 yards and six touchdowns, moving past former Davis and Skyridge quarterback Jackson Stevens for fourth all-time in career completions.

Isaac Morrison had three of those scores, totaling 142 yards on seven receptions. Jaxton Itaaehau added eight catches for 122 yards. Tyson Baggett caught six balls for 67 yards.

Connor Brown had one interception.

Davis (10-1) advances to host No. 6 Lone Peak (6-4) on Nov. 7.
