The multi-team event brings UT Arlington and Campbell to the Dee Events Center the week before Thanksgiving and is part of a schedule that gives Weber State seven home games, including five against Division I opponents. It’s only the second time in the last 20 years WSU will play more than three DI opponents at home in one season.
Currently named “Weber State Tournament,” the week will likely take on a new name once sponsorships are finalized. It’s the first time WSU has hosted a multi-team event since 1991.
“Hopefully, we can increase ticket sales and just give our fans more opportunities to see the team. We’ve got to do that,” WSU head coach Eric Duft told the Standard-Examiner in June. “It’s been almost impossible to get home games here at our level, so to do it, we’re going to have to be aggressive and find ways to do it. Tim (Crompton) has done a good job helping us with that, finding creative ways to make the budget part of it happen.”
WSU plays Campbell (located in North Carolina) on Nov. 19, Campbell faces UT Arlington on Nov. 21, and WSU plays UT Arlington on Nov. 22.
The schedule unofficially starts with an Oct. 29 exhibition against Colorado Christian, then officially on Nov. 3 against West Coast Baptist. Weber also plays three road games in the state of Utah and faces four of the other six in-state DI teams. The Wildcats leave the state only once in the first five weeks of the season.
Conference play begins Jan. 1 and Jan. 3, 2026, as WSU hosts Portland State and Sacramento State.

WOMEN CLOSE TO HOME, TOO
Weber State women’s basketball spends plenty of time in Utah early in the season, too, as the Wildcats released their 2025-26 schedule in recent weeks.
WSU opens at Colorado State on Nov. 4, then plays the next six games in the state: three straight home games (Westminster, UC Davis, Utah Tech) followed by a tour of Utah Valley, BYU and Utah.
The Wildcats pulled a tough draw in the Big Sky-Summit Challenge with South Dakota State and North Dakota State. Weber also plays a two-game event at Loyola Marymount.
With conference schedules mirrored between men’s and women’s basketball, the WSU women begin Big Sky play on the road Jan. 1 and Jan. 3, 2026, at Portland State and Sacramento State.
