Reta Lynn Parker Felt

Reta Lynn Parker Felt, loving mother, wife, and grandmother, passed away at home on November 10, 2021, at the age of 75. Faith, family, and friends were most important to her.

She was born in Logan, Utah on October 14, 1946, to Frank and Oreta Parker. Her earliest years were in Weston, Idaho before the family settled in Kaysville, Utah. Reta graduated from Davis High School, where she was a cheerleader, and attended Weber State University.

On September 17, 1965, Reta married her sweetheart, Kenneth Felt, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They resided in Fruit Heights and shared five decades of enduring love before Ken passed away in 2014. She was a devoted wife caring for her husband for years until his passing after a debilitating stroke in 2000.

Reta retired from Hill Air Force Base where she earned many accolades, including the prestigious Image Award. Between her years of civil service, she owned and operated a performing arts school for 17 years where she taught her love of dance to many girls.

Reta provided service to her community through the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, LDS Church, and Kaysville JCKs, the Jaycees auxiliary.

After losing her 15-year-old son, Reta helped others overcome adversity and improve through seminars she developed and provided at various organizations. For her service, optimism, and example, she was recognized with the Spirit of the American Woman Phoenix Award and as Fruit Heights Mother of the Year.

Reta loved vacationing and family reunions at Bear Lake. She was a loyal Bowman’s Market customer and enjoyed seeing acquaintances while shopping. Reta had so many friends.

Her neighbors and Fruit Heights 3rd Ward membership were loving parts of her life. The neighbors and ward loved her back and are thanked for their service to her over many years.

Reta’s cheerful attitude, caring interest, and sweet spirit will be greatly missed. We love you and look forward to a great reunion.

Reta is survived by her daughter, Angela (Clint) Mann; son, Tyler; grandchildren, Carson, Emma, and Gabriel; sisters, Sharon Baldwin and Susan (Dan) Broschinsky; and brother, Ronald (Camille) Parker. She was preceded in death by her son, Bradley, husband, and parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Fruit Heights Stake Center, 170 N. Mountain Rd, Fruit Heights, UT. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St, Kaysville, and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
