Lee Maye Voorhees

Lee Maye Voorhees passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the age of 91. Lee Maye was born in Ogden, Utah, on December 24, 1930, to Clarence and Irene Paxton.

She was married to Bernard Voorhees for almost 67 years until his passing in 2015. Lee Maye is survived by her four children, Bob (Rose) Voorhees; Jim (Denys) Voorhees; Bev (Mike) Black; Becky (Craig) Howard; her brother Bill (Corinne) Paxton, and her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchild.

Lee Maye was a talented piano and organ player and had many hobbies including sewing blankets and quilts, which she donated to McKay Dee Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. She was active in the Roy Els and also the Good Sam Club where she and Bernie created lasting memories traveling the U.S. in their motor home.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Lotus Park Assisted Living in West Haven and to A+ Home, Health, and Hospice for their loving care and support.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden, Utah.

Arrangements under the direction of Myers Mortuary in Roy.
