The full Northern Utah calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. Box Elder County Fair

Box Elder County Fairgrounds, Tremonton, Aug. 23

The activities of the milestone celebration changed tone after the tragic shooting that killed two police officers in Tremonton earlier this week. One of the best ways to overcome the grief and shock of such a senseless action is to rally together as a community. Nowhere will that be better than at the Box Elder County Fair, with a century of tradition and a pinnacle of activities the area. It’s a great place to stand together for first-responders and each other as they honor those who lost their lives while also emphasizing that goodness and kindness will triumph.
